I was at work, and at some point in the day, I needed to pee. I left my office and went to the bathroom. I walked in and found the farthest stall occupied but was not concerned, thinking the woman would be leaving soon. I go into the first stall, and tried to relieve myself, but it was too quiet; I guess I didn’t have to go as badly as I thought. I waited for this woman to leave, but she was so quiet. I wondered if she was sick, and waiting for me to leave. I was about to, but thought, no! Her time is up; she needs to go! But the bathroom remained silent, and the awkwardness was beginning to chip away at my resolve. But then I heard a noise, the sound of someone turning a page in a book.
She was READING. In a public bathroom!
I was furious; my eyes could have burned holes into my stall door. I could picture this strange woman, sitting on the toilet, reading a book in one stall away from me, while I waited for her to leave so I could pee. I just sat there stunned, and after a few seconds I got up and was about to leave, when I finally heard her rustling around. But then silence again. Would this woman fucking hurry up! A few more seconds of anxious silence, and then as I got up and was about to leave again, she began rustling around, and I heard her get out of the stall. I stood there as her large shadowy form walked passed my stall, and she washed her hands. I did not leave until I heard the door close. I got out and washed my hands, and then left, fuming about this fucking woman, fucking reading in a fucking public bathroom. Do that shit at home!

i need your help!
i recently bought an avocado, and i’ve never had one before!
what is the best way to eat one?Mash it up with some lime juice and chilli flakes, spread it on a slice of rye bread, that’s my favourite!
The simplest way to enjoy an avocado is to just slice it up and put in a salad or lentil soup. It has a light flavor and rich, buttery texture that works well with crunchy lettuces like romaine or raddichio (not to mention the green and purple combination looks nice), and with earthy flavors found in lentil soup. It works well as a spread, too, with either hearty whole grain breads or rye. I like it with pumpernickel. =)
Honestly, I get my lentil soup from a can. Progresso is good, but I usually go with Amy’s organic soups or Health Valley Organic no salt added. Amy’s also has a “Golden Dal” soup (think that’s what it’s called) that’s similar to lentil, and I bet that would go well with avocados, both in color and taste.
Dear IRS,
Bitch, give me my money!
Sincerely,
Ms. Hayden

There are no exact measurements for this; I usually do things to taste. If it tastes good to you, then you did it right.
In a blender put in:
about 1/2C canned sauerkraut (I rinsed and drained it; it was too “sauer” for me)
about 1C of unsweetened soy milk (unsweetened other milks might work, but might not be as thick)
about 1 1/2 - 2C of nutritional yeast (I dunno, I just poured it in until it looked like enough)
about 2 - 3 tbs of olive oil (I used light so it wouldn’t taste as strong)
about 1tbs of soy sauce
1 - 2 dashes of garlic powder
Blend it all together until its smooth, kind of thick, and creamy. Taste it and modify to your liking. Pour over pasta, and enjoy!
Seriously, try it; it’s good!
You know those kind of crappy, guilt-inducing but delicious soft-baked cookies from supermarkets, smothered in pink frosting and pastel sprinkles? Well, someone went and veganized them, and we’re feeling pretty good about it.

Does anyone know if olive oil makes a good hair conditioner? We have a lot of it, and I need to stop buying regular shampoo and conditioner ‘cause I really shouldn’t buy things that aren’t cruelty-free (pick on someone your own size!), but I’m a poor college kid who barely afford the air I breathe.
